The New Adoption Center: We launched a capital campaign to raise funds to build a new animal adoption center focused on rescue education and community involvement. Our goal was to create a space that made the rescue and adoption experience warm and positive. This was the beginning...

I worked diligently with a contractor to create a place that felt bright, open, allowed for the animals to stretch their legs and felt inviting. I made hundreds of trips to Home Depot!

I stopped by an antique shop in Southern Utah and found some barn wood that was perfect for the rustic look of the sign.

After measuring, sawing, sanding, drilling, framing, painting, hunting for rusty bolts, distressing and screening, she was ready!

After a coat of stain on the shelves we used a technique called "shou sufi ban" to create the rustic look of our retail area.

I created a wall graphic telling the story of the Nuzzle's rescue journey. And I couldn't resist the little wagging leash hooks!

I created custom quotes about the bond between human and pet that line all the glass panels on the open space. I also designed educational signs dotted around the center.

Here you can see the open space or "romp room" and the t-shirts I designed.

Here you can see the center sign and the shiny red kennels I selected to accent the red in the Nuzzles brand.

50' x 50' 2 tier booth with tension fabric and hard substrate. A lot of design work and an incredible learning experience.

ZAGG Keys Folio and Audio kiosks

I designed ZAGG's flagship store in downtown SLC. This shows the construction of the space and the designs coming to life.

The window display

A wall detail of ZAGG Skins and a shot of the south wall. Custom lit cabinets, a 3-Form ceiling sculpture and large vinyl murals are just a small part of the glowing details.

The center was a place for interested buyers to come and learn about the community. Hjarta was all about bright colors, the vibrance of the Ballard neighborhood and the importance of environmental awareness.

I created the material boards from acrylic, wood, grout, metal and vinyl.

First I created this from cardboard and duct tape and then had it fabricated with acrylic, metal rods, and spacers.
