Nokē Inc. stands as a leader in digital smart-access control, specializing in smart-locking hardware with a robust cloud-based app and web portal. The Nokē platform has decisively replaced traditional physical security methods across various industrial sectors, completely redefining self-storage security and operations.

 

As a startup, we embraced a hands-on approach and worked cohesively. I collaborated with top-notch mechanical and electrical engineers, front-end and back-end developers, and our dynamic sales team to build and market Nokē products from the ground up, mastering every aspect of branding, design, manufacturing, production, and sales.

Nokē Brand Video

 

Bringing the Nokē brand video to life was a true creative sprint. With a lean budget and a scrappy crew of employees and friends, we filmed locally and authentically. By interlacing the journeys of three product users, we shaped a single, powerful narrative that captured the heart

of the brand.

When I joined Nokē, the logo immediately stood out—but not in the way I wanted. It lacked the precision and sophistication that defined our smart locks and connected technologies. Still, I knew the value of existing brand equity. The challenge wasn’t to start over, but to evolve—refining the identity to better reflect the intelligence, clarity, and innovation at the core of our products, while honoring what our audience already recognized and trusted.

Before diving into the website design, the goal was clear: position Nokē as the global leader in industrial access control. Our challenge? Take a traditionally unremarkable product, and make it compelling. It was time to turn a basic lock into something undeniably smart.

With no existing site, we had a clean slate to build not just a brand platform, but a bold industry statement. We approached the site as more than a marketing tool—it became a strategic asset to disrupt outdated security norms, solve real-world pain points, and deliver a seamless user experience.

Nokē PRO App

 

Nokē PRO is a web and mobile platform that puts access control in the user’s pocket—literally holding the keys.

From MVP to launch, I led UX/UI design, refining user flows, optimizing hierarchy, and ensuring brand identity was seamlessly integrated. Designing for real-world use meant understanding how, where, and when users interact with our tech. I oversaw the full UX creative, designed key interface elements, and ensured a cohesive experience across both the app and web portal.

Nokē Smart Loto App

The Smart LOTO app reimagines traditional lockout/tagout systems with a seamless, secure, and OSHA-compliant digital solution, replacing outdated padlocks with smart, connected control.

Our goal was to uphold critical safety standards while streamlining the process for real-world use. We piloted the app across multiple industries, gathering insights to shape functionality and flow. Throughout development, I ensured the experience not only worked flawlessly in the field, but also felt distinctly on-brand—clean, intuitive, and visually engaging. The result was a fully integrated system, including a desktop web portal, that uses design-driven technology to make safety smarter.

Across LinkedIn, Facebook, partner sites, event pages, and digital trade publications, I created content, designed graphics, and placed ads that supported everything from product launches to app features, video releases, event promos, and award announcements. Whatever the message, lead generation was always the goal—and effective content was at the core.
